Cingular FastForward

In case you haven’t heard, Cingular is not going to offer “FastForward” to new customers after next week. If you already have the option you will be able to keep it.

I have a RAZR, and I am able to use this option without a cradle (which is NOT available for the V3’s).

There is a simple formula that you key into the phone to turn FastForward on and off.

It is as follows:

To activate: *21# send
To deactivate: #21# send

To set it up with a phone number to forward to:

**21* (enter phone#) # Send

ie: ** 21*12125551234# send.

You only have to put the number in once.
If you want to change the forward number, repeat the above.

The forwarded calls will show up on you invoice, but will NOT be counted in your mon...

Are you sure that the option is going to "go away"?? I work for the parent company for Cingular (for 20+ years) and have always experienced that when a feature is "sunset", that anyone who still has the feature can keep it (called "grandfathering"), but anyone who wants it going forward, cannot keep it.

Personally, I use Call Forwarding on my home phone to my cellphone so I can always be reached.

You are right.
Anyone who has FastForward as of Dec.20th will be able to keep it; but anyone who wants to enroll in this option after the 20th will no longer be able to order it.
