unlocked V3i

I have the chance to get a RAZR v3i unlocked at a very very good price. Since the v3i is only for cingular and not verizon, will it still work with Verizon?

ALSO, can someone explain exactly what unlocked means when referring to cell phones?

It won't work with verizon becuase Verizon Voice network is CDMA, Cingular's is GSM.
Unlocked means that you can use the phone on other GSM networks like T-mobile,Cingular,and prepaid services that use GSM.
