LG CG300
Anyone Had This Problem?
Just won this phone from a Cingular contest and received it yesterday. It's alright, I guess. I've never been an LG fan though.
Problem: I don't know if this is a softwaree issue, or if LG just wasn't thinking, but this phone will only connect via Bluetooth to other Bluetooth Headsets or BT Printers, not any other devices. I checked this out with the other CG300's we have in stock at the store, and got the same result. This phone is pale in comparison with my other handsets (Nokia 6682, SE s710a, SE w600i, HTC 8125, Moto V557/V3i, Samsung D357). No matter what phone I try to connect it with, it always says no device found, unless it's a BT headset. Aside from that the lack of memory (1.2 Mb) is the only other issue I have with this.

I am having the same issue with trying to link it to my Bluetooth on my laptop so I can transfer pictures. My laptop will pick up my CG300 but I can't get it to link to the laptop. The headset was bypassed so it could be used with the push to talk function being the phone does not have voice activated dialing. 👀

😕 I just got the LG Cg300 for the camera to transfer the pictures to my PC. Got the USB data cable and the CD with the driver. It appears that MS XP won't accept this new hardware.
Still trying to find out what else to do so the phone pictures can be downloaded to the PC.
If any body can help make this work out, Please let me know.

I have had many of my customers tell me the same thing. I think the only way to get the picture from the phone to computer is to send it as an email from the phone to the computer. 😢

😳 ------The correct word from Cingular help is that "we do not support having the means for transferring pictures to the PC."
It is supposed to be possible when having the right "phone management software." If it is not possible, the phone goes back because I was mislead.

Ya know. We sell Data Cables but no one seems to know just how they work or even IF they work transfering pictures. I have been told that the customer needs to find software on their own and we just supply the cables. Even though I have been in this industry since cellular began, I am in no ways a computer wiz so I don't know bumpkis about how to transfer other than I do know you can send any picture you take on your camera phone to any computer sending to as an email. If you need help doing this please post back and I will gove you instructions on how to do this. As far as returning your phone you do have a 30 day return period and it has to be returned from the store you got it from. There will be more push to talk camera phones coming out...

😲 -----------Just found out that the LG CG300 has to be up dated before having the capability of connecting to your PC. LG is going to do this in the "near future".

😡 ----It appears that this phone was put out before it would do what it was supposed to do!
Taking it back today and exchange it for one to be able to download pictures to my PC.
Will raise a little "hell" for my trouble also.

not all blue tooth will hook up to the computer. some only to head sets and some to printers. my wife has this phone and it only connects to headsets and printers. get the cable or spent the money on a plan that lets you send email and email them. my wife got the phone to make calls on first. since she hard of hearing and needs hearing aids to to hear with i got this phone. so this phone works. the rest is a bonus. if you can not hear on a phone then the rest of the phone is mute. i got the zx20 by samsung. so i can download stuff with the card and card reader. my phone is lound for me but not nearly as loud as lg. i think if you need a loud clear phone lg got you. it also got the loudest speaker phone beat zx20 but again i hear t...
