I am about to get the moto q from sprint... if i do is it possible when windows 6 comes out can i upgrade the software?

I can't speak for Sprint but I know Verizon has zero plans to release a Windows 6 update for their Q. You might be able to "acquire" an unofficial update for yourself, but given MS's track record for making powerhungry a OS, you might be disappointed in the performance...

I honestly don't know at this point. I've seen it at a distance but I haven't had any real play time with it. From the MS website I basically came away with the understanding that you can open/edit Office attachments and will have extreme integration with their Live service.

I have a Silver Q {yes, again; for those that have followed my reviews and posts}. Unlocked BT and modem capabilities made me do it.

this phone, regardless of what anyone else may tell you, does NOT have WM5.
what it has is Windows Mobile for Smartphones, Version 5.
i understand the coincidence is confusing, but NO, this phone will never be upgradable to WM6, because it cannot handle WM5.
