Motorola Q
JUST got off the phone with Motorola ...
BOTTOM LINE: The Q will be released for customers and businesses through Verizon Wireless by the end of April.
Call them yourselves ... 866-BUY-MOTO (ask for Manager of Media Relations).
No word on price, that's up to Verizon, but should be about $499 with 2-year contract.
I tested a beta version of the Q in early March ...

Verizon is a little skiddish because of the RAZR mishap. Motorola is a little skiddish because of Windows Mobile 5 and the problems so evident with the Treo. Microsoft has released three OS upgrades to solve recurring problems. And Verizon has had to replace Treo devices in record numbers. Now, "push" email is driving the upgrade for all of the smartphones.
Just about every tech support rep I have talked to recommends the Blackberry, unless you're looking for a true multimedia device. In which case, they seem to recommend the UT Starcom 6700. is because Motorola got it all working fine, and Verizon said, "Nope, it's gotta be Perfect,
here, Give it to us, We'll VERIZONIZE IT!"
