Not like this is big news, but I was just at a morning seminar sponsored partially by VZW. They did a quick spiel on their WM5 phones and talked VERY VERY briefly about the Q and said it'd be out soon.
Of course, they wouldn't give a date.
BUT, I did get a cool little carboard cutout the exact size of the phone.
It's wider than a Treo 700 by a noticable margin, but much, much thinner.
Keys appear to be a hell of a lot smaller, better spacing, and I'm going to guess much more usable than a Treo 700.
The screen is surely smaller. That bugs me...
Also, the VZW dudes said Moto is pushing this as a "phone first, email second" sort of device.
...
Could you supply us with a pic of that cardboard cut out
...
Are you serious? There are a LOT of photos of the ACTUAL product out there already... Check out Qusers.com

Will do. I was planning on doing a sort of side by side with a Treo 700, just for the sake of showing some actual comparisons. Give me a day or two.
Also, if you search around on the internet, there was a thing you could print and cut out that gave you exactly what I have, except you won't have the marketing info inside it.
Eyeballing, 1/2 inch wider than a Treo, but 1/2 inch thinner. And you lose about 1/2 of screen off the bottom, i.e. the Treo is sorta squared, where the Q is rectangular.

Thanks. I couldn't find it. I KNEW I saw that somewhere.
And yeah, the cutout is the same thing I have, except I did no work!
...
Ok now this is just pathetic I mean everyone is practically idolizing this phone liek a god. So much someone would even create a cardboard cut-out of it. C'MON!!!
It's just a phone people..ok it's a beautiful phone..but still just a phone and up until this point it's been all just one big tease. What are the Q fans going to do when it finally comes out and is not what it was built up to be?
...
You're on the wrong forum if you're looking for people who don't have an unhealthy obsession with phones. 😁

Dude, I got the carboard thing from a VZW rep. Chill.

I had an opportunity to not only see but play with the Q at a data summit sponsored by VZW in South Bend last week (VZW had several of these data events for its employees). My only prayer is that VZW doesn't cripple the device as they have been know to do. The device has windows media player (the rep had a horrible Christina Aguilera video on it, but it sounded sweet). The thumb wheel is kinda of cheezy but you can easily navigate with out it. The rep also said that Bluetooth would have no restrictions. No release date was given but all involved said it would be "soon". I'm looking forward to it

How do you navigate without the thumb wheel? Hot keys?
...
If you look at the pictures, like most cell phones, the Q has directional keys and the center key is the select button (for those who prefer 2-handed navigation)
