Motorola Q
New info from Verizon today
I just couldn't wait any longer for news on this damn phone. And I have some connections who gave me some names of people/departments to speak with at VZW.
So I called VZW corporate offices under some "creative" pretenses and was able to speak with a high-level official (I promised not to divulge his name or position), who gave me the following information:
(1) They are trying like hell to get this phone to market by then end of May.
(2) May 22 is highly unlikely.
(3) It is quite possible that it will be an entire month longer before this phone actually gets released.
(4) The v710 credit thing is definitely affecting the release of the Q.
(5) He subtly indicated that it is being pushed to market by consumer dema...

For some reason, I'm inclined to believe you. The thread above yours agrees with the timing you've laid out...especially considering the fluid nature of the "spreadsheet" data thus far.
I was supposed to receive my VX9800 today. Yes I broke down and got a HIGHLY inferior phone, and a huge piece of hardware to boot, but I couldn't wait, and didn't want any of the currently avalable Pocket PCs phones. Anyway, due to a shipping error, it'll be tomorrow.
My hope, of course, was to play around with the V, and return it upon, or shortly before, the release of the Q.
Now it looks like my 15 days will be up before VZW even publicly admits it's going to offer the Q.
I guess I'll just wait for the next big thing. âšī¸

Im with you inovermyhead. Im going with the 9800. Im giving up. Also i dont think i can afford and expense like the Q right now. Not gunna happen, so Im going with the Q. All i really need is the Qwerty Keyboard cause i text every 5 mins of my life. So yeah...thats my decision đ
