Windows Smartphone
I understand the Q will run Smartphone instead of PDA software. I also understand Word and Excel are not available for Smartphone. Is there a work around for this or a third party software to allow viewing/editing of Word Docs?

From what I understand, it will let you view Word and Excel docs, but not edit them.
I'm not sure if there are third party applications for smart phones that will allow you to do this because of the resources you would need on the phone to be able to do this.

How about pdf docs? I know it will sync with my Outlook for mail... but will it also sync for my contacts and specifically my calendar?
I essentially want to be able to read word and pdf docs? Check my email. Check my calendar. And have my contacts. Does a smartphone have these capabilities?

There is a program that'll let you read PDF's. I forget the name.
And I'm ASSUMING it'll work. It came with my Treo 700w on the install CD.
Email, calendar, contacts, yes.

Do you like the Treo 700W?
...
Nope. Battery life sucks and the keyboard is very unusable.

I have held it and my first impression was I did not like the key board. I actually passed over the TREO 700 for the Blackberry 7250. I am looking for solid production first and frills second.

Yes with the blackberry I have and link2exchange account my email, contacts, tasks, notes and calendar sync perfect.
Word docs are viewable OK. I am not happy with the pdf view, they do not work great without spending additional money on 3rd party software. I hope that the Q have a better pdf view solution.
Hope this helps.
