It's not the best out there, but it's darn good as a phone. The real question is how much consistent use of the EV-DO data channel will diminish the available talk time. That's always the big gotcha with these kinds of devices. If you have push EMail working and tend to get a lot of messages, this device will be doing extremely well if you get two full days of multi-purpose use with some reserve just in case. If you leave the radio on, the Treo 700w is hard pressed to go more than two days. Your battery life will be a lot better if you tend to be near a tower for EV-DO, and a LOT worse if you aren't because the phone is constantly on for EMail.
