Will Hotmail push to the device?
I hate my Hotmail account but everyone has it and no matter how many times I ask people to email me at Gmail, it never happens. Hotmail won't allow forwarding and I've never been able to set it to "push" like a pop3 - I noticed in the Q user manual that there are setup instructions for Hotmail - will I still have to log in to get mail or is it possible to push the messages to the Q?

I just checked my.motorola.com and the Q is set to goto vzw/msn homepage there is a direct link to hotmail you will not be alerted of emails from there but you'll have access to it when ever you launch your web browser.

is it restricted or unrestricted???
basically...do you pay for your email. if so...you can sync it
if not...you can't
gmail is the only unrestricted free email right now
expect that to change tho

no you can not use hotmail like a pop3 account so it will not push to the phone. but the mobile web is defaulted to goto vzw.msn.com with that said when ever you want to see if you have email you open internet explorer on the phone and click hotmail and your inbox will display there. the only disadvantage I can see is that the phone will not alert you when you get emails.

jcw. Everybody is wrong. There's a program in the device specifically for msn or hotmail accts. It's not a push technology but can be configured to get your mail every 15min if thats what you want. Matter of fact in all the new windows mobile 5.0 devices (Treo 700w, audiovox6700, and Moto Q) all come with this program pre-installed....Enjoy. If you dont believe me you can go to any VZW store and see for yourself on there test devices. Just make sure its a 6700 or Treo 700w.
