How easy to buy onine at VZW and Switch Serv Providers and Transfer Number?

I'm with AllTel now... Want to buy Q phone online at the VZW site on the 31st (assuming it's available).

Anyone know how easy this will be if I also want to transfer my phone number from my existing service provider (AllTel).

If you ahve experience with this, how long does take and how error prone is the process.

Just take your Alltel bill with you to a Verizon Wireless store and that should be all you need. If you are under contract Alltel WILL bill you whatever their early termination fee is on your final bill from them. Good luck.
