Voice and Data Plan

I may have read this wrong, but from reading the press release it seems as though we would have to sign up for a voice and data plan in order to get this phone? Or is that just to get that price? I just want a regular voice plan and pay as you go data... is this possible with this phone?

Still a bargain if this phone is half as good as it appears to be.

The only bad part about not getting the data plan is that if you decide to use the web on your phone, you will be charged by the amount of data being received by your phone (I can't remember what the max data amount is). The Verizon rep I spoke with said that a typical web page would use up the data allowance very quickly and you would rack up very expensive charges quickly.

If you do not plan on using the web, email, etc. (which kinda negates the purpose of this phone, minus the cool factor) then a regular voice plan will work just fine.

Believe me. I've been wondering all of these things too, and have had plenty of time to research the answers with all of the Q delays.

Good luck with your choices.
