does any one know what profile is needed for connecting to the Internet via a blue-tooth dongle on my computer? will it be possible to do it with the Q? also any one know if it is mandatory to get a data plan with a PDA phone? or can I get a regular voice plan.

Thanks

You can only get voice if desired.

1. the profile is DUN (Dial Up Networking)

2. the support profiles on the Q are SPP, FTP, OPP, DUN, GOEP, HSP, HFP, BPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, HID, & BIP

3. Yes you should be able to. however with that said know that currently VZW doesn't support this feature

4. no its not required to have data plan but if you do get their bundled data plan you'll get the 100.00 credit making it $199.99 with a 2yr if you go just voice you will pay 299.99 with a 2yr
