I am used to having NORMAL ringtones on my phone. Can anyone tell me a user friendly way to record my own ringtones or where I can download them for the Q? I tried using the voice recorder but it sounded HORRIBLE

Well if you already know how to transfer MP3's onto your phone then all you have to do is copy the MP3 from your My Music folder by going to File Manager/My Documents/My Music then go into Application data folder in your file manager and paste them into the sound folder. Then when you go to change your ringtone you should the MP3 listed.

I thought it was going to be hard to do also but it turns out it's really easy and free since you are using your own music.

Huh! I did just that. I was able to transfer the music files, but when I go to change the ringer, they are not there as an option. How did you do it?

Are you sure you copied the music files over to your Sounds folder? You have to select the music file from your My Music folder and copy and paste into the Sounds folder. I've got several custom ringtones now.
