I often wonder if i gave up on the Q too quickly? I settled for the 650 and am 50/50 about. I'm gonna get a second phone soon and I'm considering giving the Q one more chance vs getting a 6700 from audiovox. I'd love some feedback on this.

To answer the above question: HELL NO! The 700w was given to me after i decided to re-try Q and went through 3 in 2 weeks.

I see that you say that the black moto Q is comng out soon. Any ideas on when and do you have any pictures of it?
I so far, have had no problems with my Q. The signal strength meter is always low, but always gets a perfect signal anyway. I did buy the extended battery and now it's perfect!
Only thing that I don't like about it is the ringtones. Don't know how to make custom ringtones with the sd card. ANy thoughts?

There is a pretty signficant learning curve , but once done, it is pretty awesome.
Strong Points:
Motorola makes great phones
Call quality awesome, first phone can talk at home in 10 years.
Speakerphone loud
bluetooth awesome, especially in car,
Voice dialing by names, or numbers easy and no training needed.
Easy to enter contact information
Can call numbers from emails, task list, calendar.
Email is fast as is internet, checking movies, mapquest, some sites aren't pda so they don't show up the same way as with your PC. But no big deal
Camera excellent, video excellent.
Can play media player, emails, with sound files,
Can use 2 GB hi speed mini sd chip as storage and store to that only if wanted
Also, a big thing, wireles...

I went back to the Q, had 3 of them in five (yes, five!!!) days, then Verizon gave me the 700w. I'm good now. 🙂

Love my Q reception wise, but it is slow accessing things and I really miss just having a regular cell phone with ringtones to download and such. I will be sad to give up my Q but think I will switch to the LG Chocolate....now the question is what color??? Hmmmmm...

What Ive found is that Windows issues tend to carry over into all devices that is touches. As we have grown accustomed to the various quirks of the evolving windows versions on our pc's, so too will we experience problems on the Q. And so too will there be updates and patches and so on to fix bugs and whatnot. Their benefit will vary and so will the surge of complaints and praise alike, depending on what side of the fence you fall.
I owned a 6700 for some time and it was stellar when it wasnt restarting itself in mid-email. It even got predictable as to what tasks would cause it to white screen on me and such. My primary purpose for any pda-type phone has always been the organizer and the internet access. (Love editing myspace from m...

I got a 700w now, after 3 Q's, and i'm doing fine.

You know I was very happy with the Q. I also did lots of research on the q prior to purchasing and I had a clear understanding that it was not a ppc and did not have touch screen, etc.
When compared to smart phones the Q rocks. After 2 software updates the Q really rocks. With the last software update the battery life have improved a lot. Also there are old and new hardware versions. I pay close attention to hardware versions on any expensive or complex device like the Q.
There are a handfull of 3rd party software that really take it over the top like agenda one which adds meeting invites by email.
Sites like phonescoop and qusers. This about the number of reviews listed on phonescoop for the Q vs. the rating. The rating is not the ...
