I thought I was smarter than it seems I really am. Been trying to master the NINTENDO emulator and play some zelda for the last 5 days. Its kicking my arse. I have found numerous forum posts on it but each one gives bits and pieces and Ive been tring to put it all together into a comprehensive process.

a great thread i found on howardforums came close. it even advised that the downod for pocket nesterplus from sourceforge wont work. thats one mistake i was making. but I digress.

👀 Well i went tinkering some more, got the tgetfile on the card and figured out how to install it to the card. you have to run the .cab file. after that...HOLY COW IT WORKS! dont get me wrong... perfect it is not. Every time I open a rom, the audio blasts out of the speakerphone with no way to lower the volume. so I have to hit the menu and turn the sound off. then when i come back the game says that it is paused, and press start to continue. the only button that does anything at this point is the back arrow and the home key, both of which cause the rom to close. I think it might be in the configuration of the contols. will update. incidentally, my L key has to be hit with more pressure to populate. anyone else have that?

Ok, after much tweaking, I finally got this thing running properly. I did some severe net scouring and found the following thread that was most helpful:

You have to do a lot of settings tweaking, You have to map out your own keypad configuration (tough because the orientation is rotated in the emulator software), and you have to adjust the display settings so the games will play vertically instead of sideways. Ill post a long tutorial how-to in the next couple days.

Thanks
