Flashing Red Icon during charge?
Any ideas why the battery indicator would flash red when the charger is attached, but 3 green bars when unplugged? Phone tools shows 100% when the phone is unplugged from the charger but 5% when on the charger. WTF?

The flashing red battery is when the phone is charging or charging while plugged in to the computer... The phone should say charging where the date usually is and then say charge completed when it is done charging... You should leave it plugged in to the charger, show the date if you hid the date and check for it charge all the way...

The battery indicator is BS.
I can plug in my phone, wait for it to charge completely, plug it in again 5 minutes later, and then it reads empty.
I don't trust the indicator when it's not plugged in either... my phone was showing a full battery two days ago and then the battery completely died during a conversation 2 minutes later.
