Samsung SCH-A930

I just found my old SCH-A930 that I haven’t used in over 10 years. I’m charging it up right now, and it’s in a continuous cycle of loading the red V Cast screen and then turning to a black screen. I’m not sure how long it’ll take to charge, but does anyone have any advice for having this phone nowadays?

My phone got ran over by a car, but its been working fine for the last 6 months, only problem is the screen is cracked and I cannot see most of it.

I finally got a new phone and need to get my pictures and videos off the old phone.

Can anyone here tell me what menu buttons to hit and what numbers to push/select in order to do this?

I got a 2GB MicroSD card, I hope it will work with the SCH-A930.

a phone (samsung a950) to utilize the a2dp technology??

i just got this phone from the gov'n program from reachout wireless. now i can play the mp3's using the hidden codes hack. and i have converted mp3's to wma in both 9.1 and 9.2 formats @ 16bit 44khz. now the wma's refuse to play. if i try to play them it shows a "not supported" dialog with a "!". the service provider for reachout wireless is verizon. as the last phone i had was also a version issued phone, Motorola V730.

my question is: is there a way to permanently enable the mp3 format, or a way to re-enable the wma player? im assuming they disabled it, like they do with the mp3 player once they activate the phone.

i should also note attempting to click on "Get V CAST Music" and "Play All Songs" show the same "Not Supported" error.

Did any one play with the NAM function on their a930? I was messing around with it and then outta the blue, the phone restarted and it it said "PROGRAMMING CODE NEEDED" I called up CS and they told me it s a software issue and to go to a store. They gave me a new one after 45min of BS with the tech guy!

i can connect my phone to anyone elses but i cannot send things to them.
can anyone help me

I have a bunch of java games I would really like to be able to get onto my phone. Ive tried Polyphonic Wizard, and I can see the file I just cannot download it.
Can this phone even run java games?

My Samsung A670 could be toggled into/out of "Silent" mode (vibrate on, all other sounds off) by holding down the # key.

This doesn't work on the A930--does anyone know if there's an equivalent capability & shortcut on the A930?

So. I've done everything that all these instructions say, my card is formatted to FAT32, all my songs are in MyMusic in .wma unprotected format... and yet a problem persists. Every time I try to play anything, it says "player error unable to play 01 song against sex.wma". This is driving me insane, because apparently I've done everything right. Has anyone else had this error message?

How can someone save/pull this information off the phone and save it as it was (sent or received).Being able to prove where it came from and where you sent the message. The question really is about being able to save this information ( THE CONTENT OF ) in case you ever need to prove WHAT was sent or received. I know you can get the ,sent to, and ,from, off their website (VERIZON) but it does not prove the content. I know you can save it on the phone by locking the message. But you can only hold so many messages and if you ever lose the phone or damage the phone you will lose the information.

I downloaded the MP3 to WMA converter and then did what it said and converted the songs but then it wouldn't let me save them anywhere so I don't understand. It wouldn't let me take them out of the converter box. Please help me out, Ive had my phone for a year and a half and am still attempting this.

Hi, having a problem finding a good pair of headphones for the music player. I don't really want to go the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter route. I have a pair of the Samsung brand earphones, but I wasn't real impressed with the sound quality, and the earbuds constantly fell out of my ears or become loose. I just purchased a pair of Sennheiser mm50's. They sound great, but unfortunately, they aren't completely compatible and the mic doesn't work. So, I was wondering if anyone knew what the jack pinout is. If it isn't too complicated to modify the jack wiring I would like to get the mic to work. If not, I just need to decide if I would rather just have better sound quality at the sacrifice of using it as a headset. Does anyone have any experience with...

I know this is the opposite of what most people are looking for, but I am trying to find a setting/config change that I can make that will make the OLED bright all the time instead of only when the volume button is held down.

I didn't see anything in the phone's "standard" settings choices.

Is anyone aware of anything in the hidden menus or filesystem(accessed through Bitpim) that will allow you to control how long the OLED remains bright?

I purchased this phone so I could put music on it, but so far am not having any luck doing so. We do not have V-cast in this area, so that is not an option. So I purchased a micro SD card, but when I put it in the phone, it states "no songs". There are songs on it that were added through Windows Media Player.

I thought maybe the problem was because I wasn't using a USB cable, just using the card reader on my computer, so I bought the USB. Now, not to appear really stupid, but how do you attach the USB to the phone? One end has the USB connector, but the other end is enclosed and I don't see anywhere on my phone to attach it.

Until about three weeks ago this phone was fine. Never really used the MP3 feature but took a few movies and shot a few photos. Even bought a card and reader. Photos aint as good as my digital camera and I own an ipod so I didn't use those features on the phone regularly.

Then the battery started holding 6 hour charge. Once call dropped it to one bar. Verizon replaced the phone, then the battery. With new equipment I get the same results.

The wall charger is not to blame as my wife uses the two we have on her sch a930 without problems. She still gets the "charge it once a week" usage we both used to get.

Feeling very frustrated. Anybody have a suggestion?

Lastly, is there anyway to transfer music from iTunes to the SCH-A930

I browsed through the handbook and didn't find anything that helped. If I receive a missed call/ text message the outer display only displays that information for roughly 30 seconds and then goes away. This bothers me because I don't want to have to flip open the phone to see if I have a missed call/txt message. Is there a setting to constantly have the "1 MISSED CALL" or "1 NEW TXT MESSAGE" on the outer display, or does this phone not do that?
