gigabyte transflash card
Has anyone tried a gigabyte transflash card in this phone yet, ive read that it only supports 512.

If it says it only supports 512MB than it's very probable that a 1Gb card will not work...Just stating the obvious. (don't get your hopes up)

can't say that i've read that anywhere. phonescoop doesn't say how big it can be and neither does the user guide. guess i'll find out when my 1 gb card comes in the mail.

yea, the cdma samsungs actually say they can only use 512, but the Gig will work. it figures that this one would be the same. however, i just bought a 512 anyway. that was plenty for me.

I found that when I installed my 1GB card it did not work (phone said "fail read") what I ended up doing was formating the card from the phone directly and then transfer music from my pc to the music folder and it works ok now...

Is there any difference between the transflash and microSD cards? I have no experience with either.

well, when i bought mine, it actually said transflash AND microSD on the package. so whatever the difference, apparently they are the same physically.
