what's the phone book like on this cell? can someone give me the rundown of samsung's phone book, specifically in comparison with motorola's horrid address book

It's actually pretty nice. Shows the name, numbers, any group they are in, anthing really. It even shows what sim slots and stuff it is stored on. Really easy to use. Only complaint is you can't copy a contact to your sim card that you stored previously on your phone. Other than that it's great.
