Data transfer-Do you need the Samsung CD to be able to do this?

Can I just buy the data cable, or Do I need the CD as well for it to be recognized?

I use bluetooth to connect phone and computer. Samsung has a program (PC Studio 3) that is free to download and has a nice interface to transfer files, edit contacts, etc.

Email any mp3, mid, gif, or jpg file to 1234567890@mms.mycingular.com (replacing the digits with your phone number of course.) When the MMS message finishes downloading, simply select "Save Media" after selecting the message.
