I know this plays mp3 songs like the ipod but I am also interested does it plays movies like the ipod. anyone that could help me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I have heard of this being possible but I have my doubts. Have you tried calling Cingular Tech support about this? Maybe they're a good place to start. IMO, they have nothing to lose by telling you the truth.

Yes it plays movies. You just have to convert it to a format the phone will support.

All phones support 3GP format, which is the format that all phone record in. If you want to see a video on your phone that is not 3GP format, you just have to convert it. I have full length DVD's converted and stored on my 4GB memory card on my phone.

Thanks for the quick reply. How would we who have never transfered a movie go about it? How much memory do we need for a two hour movie?

You can use the data cable that came with the phone but its slow. A card reader is faster and a 2 hour movie will take up about 250MB.
