working around with low volume
I read through the reviews for this phone, and a lot of people have indicated that there is a problem with low volume on the speakerphone as well as the earpiece. Has anyone worked around this via software update, bluetooth, etc...? Thanks in advance.

I'm vaguely aware of drivers that can boost both speaker volumes at the expense of added distortion. (Your mid-range is more exaggerated as a result, kind of like my old Sanyo PM8200 with speakerphone capability.) Because of the same low volume issue, I do 95% of my calling and conversation via a SE Bluetooth headset. That's my solution. (I don't trust the 3rd party generic driver solution. Too many "what ifs.....") I review the SE HBH-GV435 at Amazon if you want a detailed opinion.

Yes you will have no problems with a bluetooth headset, and out of about 20 models that I've tried, the Nokia BH-900 is head and shoulders above anything else. However, the newer FW in the phone helps with earpiece volume alot. Why dont you just buy my w810. It has the latest FW 🙂

Everyone has their own view but I gotta say Jerry, that headset is just plain awful. Outgoing sound quality was very poor and it has horrible range. My vote goes for the Nokia BH-900. Out of the 20 or so models I've tested, it bests every other one.

Do me a favor. PM me, I have something to ask you.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their valuable feedback. I'll look into a bluetooth headset to go with the phone when I end up buying it.
