Buying Question (W810 or W660i)

Hey, i've read a lot of reviews and customer reviews of the W810 and everyone seems to agree that its a great phone with some cool features. I really like this phone but i noticed the W660i that SonyEricsson is launching soon and it looks like an equally good and more stylish phone. Do you think i should wait for the w660i to come out, or just go ahead and get the w810 (more features?) Also, does anyone know if the w660i will be coming to Cingular? Thanks a lot.

About the only thing I think this phone has going for it over the 810 is the fact that it can do bluetooth stereo headphones (A2DP). Otherwise the memory card it uses is much more expensive and only holds 1GB where as the 810 can hold 4GB in memory stick duo pro. I'm not a fan of Sony's new M2 memory cards. Too expensive and too little memory. If you don't plan on using wireless bluetooth headphones for your music I'd go with the 810 all the way. Its a proven phone with cheaper memory possibilities and it even has a flashlight which I don't believe the 660 has. I use my flash light a lot believe it or not, its really conveneint.

If you get the right BT Stereo headphones, you can make the w810 stereo BT capable too..

Just buy the Plantronics 590a BT Stereo headset, and plug the little adapter that comes with it into the cord you plug into your phone (that you normally would plug your wired headset into) and it makes it stereo BT. You can even listen to the radio with the Plantronics that way.

There is an adaptor wire that comes with the w810 that you plug in the bottom of the phone. Its about 2-3 feet long. Now I have seen something on EBAY that is just a square adaptor that plugs in the phone as well and has no wires. Whether you use that, or the one that comes with the phone, you plug the adaptor that comes with the Plantronics 590a into it. Its about 4 inches long and has a round thing on it. The headset pairs with the little round thing on the adaptor and then your phone becomes stereo bluetooth capable. The adaptor that comes with the Plantronics will make ANYTHING that will accept a standard 3.5mm plug, it will then become stereo bluetooth. Like your computer, PSP, portable electronic gaming devices, portable dvd players, e...

Uh ok thanks. That was a little confusing for me to understand but it's basically a Bluetooth dadapter that somehow plugs and fits into your phone and what hides the wires away? Thanks for helping me out so far. So, you don't like the Sync at all eh? I've heard it's an outstanding phone.

Look up the Plantronics 590a on the internet. You will see the adaptor that comes with it. Go by your local AT&T store and look at the W810 and you will see the adaptor that comes with it. Then you will have a better understanding of what I'm saying. Then look at the Sync. Buy the Sync. You'll return it though.

I"m confused, if the phone doesn'[t support the A2DP BT profile, then how would you make stereo bluetooth headphones which are probably going to be important to me, work?

If I am correct you're not going to use the w810's BT. The Plantronics 590a has a BT adapter with it.
Here is a picture of the 590a. The round thing is your BT that would conect to n non-BT device....
