Has anyone been able to pull off getting stuff off of the cingular website, like games, apps, and what not? I tried putting the w600i as my choice since it's really almost the same platform. Each time I click on buy though it just says "404 file not found". Just thought I'd ask if anyone found a work around yet, other than waiting for it to be released on the website. 🙂

Hey I dunno about Cingular's site, but Sony Ericsson's website has a BUNCH of freebies from themes to ring tones and even games. Check out their site. I already downloaded a bunch of stuff and it's free (except for the wireless internet fee from Cingular)! You just put it all in this folder and go online on your phone and download it. The cost is much less than Cingular direct 😁

Yeah they've got some good stuff there 🙂 The reason I was wanting a work around for Cingular's site is, I was hoping to get mobiradio/tv and the wayfinder program, plus a lot of the games that I loved on the other phones. Ah, guess I'll just have to wait it out 🙂

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but I tried to download Mobitv for my W810i and (after speaking with several reps) found out from Mobitv rep that Mobitv WILL NOT work with an unlocked W810i EVEN after its released by Cingular made compatible with Mobitv 😳 ! Apparently the problem is that Cingular has some sort of exclusivity agreement with Mobitv so that it won't work with unlocked phones because they want you to buy it from them 👿 . If you try & download Mobitv it will see that your phone is unlocked and won't download (I've tried this myself many times).
As far as that wayfinder app goes I don't know if its the same deal but considering how greedy/sneaky Cingular is I wouldn't get my hopes up 🙄 !

Ah that sucks about mobi.. and yeah you're probably right about the unlocked thing. That's just the way things go I guess. Thanks for the reply though, I appreciate it!
