DEBRANDING JUST DO IT
Just debranded my phone using wotanserver.com, it's the best thing you can do to your W810i if you have a cingular branded phone. The one thing that made the most difference is the web key on my cingular phone became a short cut key that you can customize to like I think five different things that you do most. It's great to read of somebody exploiting the full capability of their Cingular branded SE W810 phone. Many of us want to do the same thing. Perhaps you could expand a little of what to expect at wotanserver.com. How much does it cost? Was earpiece volume affected? Does debranding do something you didn't like? Perhaps you could help us identify which of the device setup options we should choose by name. I see two choices that begin with the word "Access...". Are there anymore? Does debranding affect the warranty on the phone? Lastly, is there any advantage after debranding the phone of unlocking it too? Once again, thanks for sharing your positive experience.

No reason to debrand, you can use songs as ringtones, and to keep from getting on line, dont hit the button and lock it when not in use. Thats it, its a waste to spend money on such a small feature, cingular didnt keep you from doing things there are ways of getting around their stoppages.

klee0032 - After reading your experience I browsed around wotanserver. Question - How do you know which firmware is the right one for the W810i? I saw 5 choices with several of them supporting "Generic USA (Brightpoint USA)". Did you understand everything that you read or did you kinda roll the dice after paying for your credit that it would all make sense?
