Figured I'd ask here now...
Hey all... I tried asking this question in the Cingular forum since there seems to be a high volume there but didn't get a response so why not try here. Any answer would be appreciated.
Hello... I was thinking about joining Cingular/ATTT and I believe I found the right phone for me. The Sony Ericsson W810 looks like the perfect fit for me because of the fantastic battery life, FM radio/MP3 for when I work (Which is always outdoor) and for the gym and from what it seems like good reception. Now my question is, I read on Cigular's website that this phone has advanced XHTML web browsing, what the hell does that mean? Since working outdoors I really need radar on my phone and purching apps after paying $20/MO isn't going to happen so I was ...

Yes you can. Its not great, but its doable. I am not sure how often you need it updated but at least you can see radar and satellite (although I dont think it updates like it does on tv)

I agree it is doable also you don't get real time updates. I use opera mini(it's a free download for this phone) and that optimizes the web browsing. I would also try accu weather they have good radar and a wap version. I think you'll be happy with the w810 I have a blackjack also but I just can't part with my w810 it's been my favorite phone so far(then again I am partial to Sony ericsson)

Go to www.mini.opera.com on the phones built in browser and you download it from there. Its a free program no matter where you get it.
