What are you talking about?? Cause it doesnt have 850 that doesnt mean that just t-mobile wont get it. Cingular uses it too. GSM United States Networks use 850 as one of the frequencies. Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile - all of them. Because it doesn't have 850, you can still get reception in the US, because you can roam on the other frequencies... however there are only two offered in the US with the major US service providers. that means you will get service sometimes, and not at all others. Obviously that makes it not much use for the $$$ unless you were super determined to have this phone even if it only works in a few places, sometimes....

I think you dont understand, all you understand is that we have 850 and 1900 but i dont think you understand that only cingular runs on 850 t mobile does not, get your facts straight before you go jumping on other people, people with T Mobile will be great service, especially in big cities

Here's who wont get it: Cingular. They have the worst smartphone selection BY FAR. No Motorola Q, no Nokia E61, just a crappy Treo and who wants that?

This phone (along with the other phones you mention) is a copy/rip off/imitation/flattering reproduction of the RIM Blackberry, all the current GSM models of which are carried by Cingular. I work for Cingular, and can tell you loads of reasons why they're a lame company, but the criteria you base your comment on is pretty dumb. 🙄

yea I work for cingular also, and I agree. Cingular sucks but that is not a valid point as to why cingular sucks. And cingular sells treo, RIM, HP iPAQ, and Cingular 2125 and 8125, also the nokia 9300 is consider a pda.

cingular cannot get a hold of phone that works properly to save their life. Such as the o so popular razr, I work in the warranty department for cingular and about 60% of the exchanges are razrs, 20% being other motorolas, and the last 20% being divided between samsung, nokia, lg, ans sony ericsson. However with as many problems as cingular razr's have other companies (tmobile, verizon, etc) dont seem to have any issues with the same phone.
Also cingulars customer care is absolutley horrible, we basically do whatever we can to not help you. Our rate plans are overpriced for what you recieve.
Spend a few hours on the phone with us or work for one of our call centers and you will see what I'm talking about

I work for radioshack, and have had to deal with VZW customer service, and since the "changeover" I have now had to deal with Cingular customer service. I don't think either one of them leads over the other, since they both blow (but the Cingular employee plan is much MUCH better) Both have their problems with certain phones (vzw's motorola v60 anyone?) so neither wins here imo. But when Cingular stops letting you listen to your own music on your phone without a hack like Verizon has, then I'll lose it.

OK so i need a phone that works in europe so that means Cingular or T Mobile. I have heard Cingular has better coverage [in the US] than T Mobile. IS that true? My Samsung i320 has poor coverage on Cingular (it is only 3 NOT 4 band)

Your i320 sucks because cingular depends on 850mhz maybe you should sell it or jump onto tmobile because tmobile does not use 850 mhz in major coverage, tmobile is the best for gsm, great service, great company better than cingular that is

They're the biggest company, and in their advertising, both to customers and internal employees, they portray themselves as the best. Yes, that's to be expected to a degree, but it's kind of annoying to get 3 emails a day saying "Look how great our systems are!" When they don't work. "Look how few customers left us this week!" When the number that did is ridiculously high. "Look how great some company that we're not allowed to talk about for reasons that will be be explained to you says we are!" That one is frustrating as hell - I'm glad I don't interface directly with customers anymore. . .

Not even a Cingular fan, but i have to agree that throwing a service provider under the bus because your severe lack of knowledge is of NO USE on this forum.
