It doesn't have GSM 850, which T-Mobile now requires due to the extensive GSM 850 roaming they offer.
It's officially for Europe only, although I expect it to be a popular import, and it's theoretically possible there could be a version with GSM 850 at some point.

Right. T-Mobile, or even Cingular will NEVER EVER EVER spend money on a phone not supported on our roaming networks and partnerships. Therefore, if it doesnt have 850, it wont be carried by a US service provider.
