Anyone try it yet or know what it's supposed to fix?
Bummer no OTA update. Haven't gotten around to getting a data cable for this thing yet (haven't needed it).

I have a 6131 and used the new updater to go from V3.2 to V5.5 of the phone firmware. I purchased the phone (unbranded, unlocked) but could not use it on Cingular because I'm on the old Blue (AT&T) side and the phone suffered from the infamous no voice mail icon bug that many Nokia phones seem to have. The firmware update FIXED that problem and the phone is working great now. The update didn't even whack my settings/data/e-mail account info even though the website said it would. This came just in time as the main display just failed on my SE Z710i. I prefer the OS of the SE but I love the design/form factor of the Nokia. The new DIY firmware update is the best thing Nokia has done for users in years.
