Hello. I just did what you said to do in your post with my Nokia 6126. I am hoping that this will improve the battery life. Are there other things I can do on my phone to improve the battery life? I have the power saver on on the internal and external displays.

I have read turnoff screensavers as well.
This data packets only when needed is no miracle cure but it does seem to be helping.
