Nokia 6126 / 6131 / 6133
Any news on when for 6126???
Just wondering if anyone has heard when the 6126 will be released for Cingular? I've read that it is in testing, but from past experience that could mean it is coming in anywhere from a week or two to half a year. My razr is slowly dying and I think I would rather have this phone than the v3i. Appreciate any info anyone has.

If you don't mind my asking who is your source for the July 5 2006 release date? The rep at the Cingular store I stopped into yesterday said that the 6126 is not on the release list for either June or July.

Check again. There is no way the no-contract price will be $190 if the 2-yr price is $149. It should be at least $250 for no-contract.

That jives with what I've heard - it's set to replace the V557, which is EOL as of June. Launch dates are always tentative, but beginning of July is about right for the phone.

I really like this phone, but I think I'll wait until at least August or September before buying it. I always hear the FIRST shipments on phones always have "bugs" in them and subsequent shipements have the bugs fixed and phone working properly.

Is there anyway to upgrade the firmware once these phones come out? I have had trouble talking to cingular about this in the past. I'm looking to upgrade to the 6126 or outright buy a 6131, but in the meantime, my 6620 has all these little bugs that are driving my bonkers. I checked my version, and it came out 2004-06-28, I know there are updates, but didn't want to send out my phone to some 3rd party.
