ok so does this phone support mp3 ringtones?
Can apps connect to the internet? Like opera-cuz on samsungs they dont work.
can it stream media like from orb?
does it have wmp or realplayer or some other player?

4. it will play unprotected wmas or mp3s. if the song is drm protected it will not play.
5. i don't know on that, although imo no, you can set a different tone in the phone's preset menu, but you can't assign one out of your mp3s.
You can have the phone flashed to the 6131's firmware by iunlock and do all but number 5.

How can i flash the phone to 6131's firmware? Can i do it over the air or do i have to buy a cable?

I sent mine to Evan at iunlock. The OTA updates don't work, especially with the flash firmware, because it takes the crippling off t-mo wants on the phone. There is no software available to the general public to flash the phone, unless you look for something like *cough*phoenix*cough* firmware. It was too much time and trouble for me to do, so I sent it to iunlock.

as for your last question as long as its in a supported format aka wma or acc(i know theres more just cant think of it) you can set anything as a message tone yes. i guess i dont see anything "crippled" as others have said i own it and everything i want it to do i can do, you may need to change a file format but big deal
