I am now on my third RaZR(in 3 1/2 months) and I am done with the crap. With full bars on my reception, I still have people telling me that there is too much static and it sounds like I am in a tunnel. I am calling Cingular tomorrow to have them replace with a different phone. I was looking at the LG CU500, but I sort of like the looks and sound of this phone.
Is the 3125 a good phone? Anyone having trouble with noise or reception? I need a phone with a good phone book, and reliable useability. I hated the phone book on the Razr. You would have 4 entries just to have 4 numbers for 1 person. DUMB!!
Please help. I don't want to get another crap phone. I just want one that works.
Thanks

This phone replaces the RAZR 10 fold! I absolutely love this phone!! I had the 8125 before this and didn't like it because of the size and it was kind of hard to use as a phone to be quite honest. The 3125 has it all, you can do the multiple contact entries, its easy to use, gets great reception, awesome battery life, great OS I haven't had it freeze on me once yet! I could go on and on. The MP3 capabilies WAY surpass the V3i even because it can play higer bitrate songs (256+) the RAZR can only play up to 192. Real easy to transfer data from computer to phone...again like I said I absolutely love this phone! And it seems your biggest fear is reception and like I said before my reception and voice quality is amazing so go for it!

I bought the 3125 with my Cingular plan and returned the phone a week later. It's pure crap as far as i'm concerned.
The buttons are too finicky for my average to large size hands. Too many wrong buttons were being pressed. There is NO clock feature available after 30 seconds the flip screen goes blank and you have to hit another button just to view the clock....sorry HTC I need to see the clock at ALL times!
The other BIG problem I had with the phone is that I could not just put the phone on my nitestand in the evening when going to bed. There are a couple BRIGHT flashing LEDS that continually flash. And in the dark these lights could bring a ship in from sea....like a lighthouse.
I attended a conference the weekend I bought t...

I couldn't disagree with this use any less. The buttons are huge, and you'd have to have hooves to have a hard time with them. The only issue that I could see is that you can't always tell which button is which without looking, but you're running into the same thing with the RAZR.
The lights are *NOT* a big deal at all, and if this is an issue, it can be overcome simply by flipping the phone over so that it lays on its front (which is what I do).
I've had great success with reception and this phone. Not sure why that guy was having so much trouble.
At any rate, the RAZR isn't even in the same league as this phone. If you are looking for a flip phone with Windows Mobile 5, and something to play media/games/applications on, and you ha...

Argh, of course I mean "user", not "use".

I agree with you too....along with owning a 2125 and previous to that an 8125. For a difference of $50 get the 3125 compared to the razr!! The buttons are huge and I have large hands..considering large would mean you can palm a basketball...The previous post was way off that the phone was crap. I could understand if it was reception or something obvious but that is not the case at all. I wont mention all the pros or cons to this device...go down to the store, check it out and see for yourself...the razr is CRAP with any cell company. Easily breaks, static, poor call quality and no reception. My 2125 or 3125 gets 2 more bars then the razr I did own.

I agree. I had the 3125 and returned it within 30 days. I thought Cingular would come out with more phones and I would miss out so I returned it. I think I made a mistake. I will get this phone again. It was great quality!

Did you just try turning the phone over?
My flashes pretty bright too. but I just set it so the light is on the nightstand.. wa la... it's dark.

Stop wasting your time with the RaZR. I had one for 2 years and the reception was terrible. I always thought it was Cingulars lousy network but ever since I bought a SE p910a the reception(NY region) has been fantastic. The RaZR has a small ferrite antenna versus Sony Ericssons U looped shaped antenna. Your hand was probably covering the antenna giving you poor reception. Live a little...get new phone.

The 3125 gas a great phone book. it is lightning fast! You can use active sync with Outlook. It works great. Motorola has the most antiquated phonebook.

I replaced 3 rzrs in a year and then got this one. I LOVE this phone. It's rugged. I've dropped mine at least 5 times and it's been knocked off the counter onto a tile floor. It keeps on working. It's about the same size and thinness as the RAZR (which is what I really liked about the RAZR). BUT I get more bells and whistles with this one.
I wanted the windows 5 mobile stuff and I hated the bar style pda phones that I tried in the past. (I kept dialing people from my pocket, and they would barely fit into my pocket. I don't like a huge wonking phone hanging on my belt). I loved the size of the RZR but again the longevity of the RAZRS just weren't there. The microphone and the antenna bars in them kept breaking.
This 3125 has been the t...
