i need ringtones for this phone!!!
I recently bought this phone coming off of the t809. I can't figure out how to convert the music files like i do on the t809 to be able to play them as ringtones...any ideas?
...
do you have a usb cable for it because it doesn't say anything about it using one

i'm using my t809 for the files and then sending the music files through bluetooth.

I went to the Tmobile store for the same question and the clerk looked up the specs. Said that the t509 doesn't support playing MP3s as ringtones. This doesn't make sense since one of the options on the phone is to download hifi ringers. Why would you download hifi ringers at $1.99 and not be able to use it as a ringtone? Any help out there?

You have to get Yamaha software to make .mmf files to be able to use your songs as ringtones. Then the easiest way to load them is via Bluetooth/OBEX file transfer.

Yeah, picked this phone up yesterday and it TOTALLY needs ringtones. What are there, like 5 to choose from? This is how phone companies make their money - from downloading ringtones, texting and pic messaging. Why else would they only load a couple of useable ringtones into a phone? And what about the screen savers? Ugh, my LG6100 had way more than this phone has. I guess I'll be taking pictures for my wallpaper.
