Samsung SCH-A870 / Siren
Question for Tapir regarding reception
I'm porting into VZ and wanted to keep the same kind of Samsung I have now, and the GSM Samsung I have now is the same form factor of the A870, except mine has an external antenna.
How is the reception on the A870? Are you getting the same bars as before? Any thoughts now that you've used it awhile?

The only VZW Samsung phone I had before was A530. It had an external antenna. Its' hard to remeber about a530 reception but as I said in my prior mini-review suprisingly a670 appears to have similar reception as my Treo 650 and wife's prior LG 4200. Both with extrenal antennae. Again this applies only to places where I go with my wife (it's her phone). Generally it's Manhattan, Jersey City (Newport) and Hoboken.
We'll be driving to Montreol and travel in Quebec, Canada over Labor Day so I'll have more to say about a870 reception in various places.
