I have read a bunch of diffrent web site stating the dirrfent relise date. Im wundering because I read on engadget.com they state that ir will be out oct31/06. Can any one conferm that.

Still, it's a somewhat intriguing feature set (touchscreen PDA with wifi & GPS). I'd really like Nokia to make this phone, with Symbian or Maemo instead of windows mobile.

went to a couple Cingular stores today in San Francisco Area

It's online right now - Cingular Premier has it, should be on the regular site later this week.
The stores don't necessarily get any information ahead of anyone in the company, and to my knowledge, stores never get phones before they're available for order. Store employees (like everyone else) are a mixed bag - some of them are quite knowledgable & willing to help customers with even the most obvious questions. Others only care about the sale (and the commission), and if you're not interested in buying why they have in the store, than they don't care.
