Keyboard layout :(
😕 That keypad looks annoying- no QWERTY layout- or anything resembling any type of keyboard layout, just the letters A-Z alphabetized. I think typing on that could be slow and cumbersome and take too much time to learn.

In Canada, we have been exposed to the FASTAP keyboard for 2 years now.
The reaction has been thus:
If you are very use to T9, it is no faster than T9.
If you are phone noob, it is much easier and people type faster on the FASTAP keypad.
One advantage the phone has over a QWERTY keypad is that the phone maintain a REASONABLE size unlike QWERTY which are not suitable for clamshells and make for either large or fat bar phones.

Really not that big of a deal. Although, yes it will take getting use to, it was actually easier to use than my razr. I was able to write out a text message quicker with this phone than I was with the razr using ITAp. Not to mention that most of the keys can double as shortcut keys...pressing and holding the w key will open the browser...pressing t will open text, etc. etc...Cool phone.

I have the 490 as my demo phone and the Fastap isnt fast at all, its hard to find the letter you need quickly and if you use 2 thumbs to type, the phone will not keep up with you and skip many letters...
