Samsung SCH-A990
$399.99....WHAT!
How can anyone validate paying this much for a phone? It's not even PDA!!!!! I could understand if this was one of those SMART phones but come on!!! The camera is really not that much better than my 8000 or 8300 and the video quality is weak too. VZW I got two words for ya....

hey. do yourself a favor and do a little research. i'm sure you'll find that the cost to this phone is easily justifiable. in mine and a lot of other people's opinion (including just about everybody at verizon ((i work for verizon)) ) this blows a PDA/smartphone away. and i don't know what kinda of 990 you're talking about but do this. take a picture with it. and print it out using the pictbridge technology. quality is MORE than enough. the 990 is truly an all-in-one device and an overall great buy. hands down!!

This phone earns the money because Samsung phones last if you take care of them. I got the Samsung SCH-460 and it still works. I use everyday and nothing wrong with it. This is a fair price because it has a wma player. The bad about the player is that it doesn't play mp3s due to verizon's software. This phone has
a 3.2 mega-pixel camera that takes the best pics than any other phone. Its kind of a luxury phone but I regret it. If you check it out you'll like it. This phone has a deactivated feature (that i know of) like:
This phone can play mp3s but verizon's software is blocking it unless it had Verizon's new Flash UI.
This phone is pricey but it I'll go between 250 and 100 dollars in a year or two. I know that it won't go down any l...

Let us not get worked up about the price. Whenever something is released in the market for the first time, it is usually priced higher than what we really want to pay for. To add, I believe the A990 (correct me if I am wrong) is the first 3.2 Megapixel Camera Phone from the States. When it is the first of something, it will reflect in the price.
The good news is everything drops in price as time passes. At certain times of the season, items go on promotion. Other authorized Verizon Wireless retailers will attempt to compete with the actual Verizon Wireless store. That being said, I have come across a price of $249.99 (...
