Samsung SCH-A990
Shortcut to vibrate???
I just switched to the SCH-A990 from an LG VX700. With the LG, I could quickly switch to vibrate only and back to normal again by holding the * key for a few seconds. I cannot find such a shortcut with this phone, if I am missing it, please let me know.

I just found the answer. I will post it here just in case anybody else wants to know:
To place the handset in silent / vibrate mode follow the steps below:
While in standby mode, press the volume key (W & T control), located on the right side of the handset, down then select either “Vibrate Only", “Alarm Only” or “All Sounds Off”.
You will see the “Vibrate Only", “Alarm Only” or “All Sounds Off”, icon on the bottom of the Main Display Screen, each time you enter silent / vibrate mode.
The phone will vibrate, if enabled, rather than ring when you receive a phone call, message or alert while in silent / vibrate mode.
To disable silent / vibrate mode, perform the same action while in silent / vibrate mode....

also if you simply press and hold the vol down for 2 seconds it will shut off sounds .. i havent found a way to use that and make it goto vibrate .. dont know if you can .. but its a faster shortcut to all sounds off .. sadly i dont use that .. only use all vibrate
