Micro vs miniSD?

Quick question. What's the difference between the micro vs miniSD? I still have the miniSD from my v710 and it works fine with my V3m. Granted, I cannot pull up the midi ringtones that I have on it from the last phone but all the pics are still there. Am I supposed to be using a different memory card?

if you have the 710 then you have the micro sd. the mini sd is for the 8100 and 9800.

Oh ok. For some reason, I thought when I ordered those, they were minis, but that was 2 years ago, so who knows. Thanks. 😁

its cool, but to answer your original question I need to know how you put them on your original phone. If you had them as a sound then set them as a ringtone you will have to put them on the new phone the same way.

On the first phone, I just had them saved as midi files. I would go to the little sound files section, pull up what I wanted, move from card to phone, then apply as ringtone. Once I got that software update that prevented me from moving sounds from the card to the phone, I would just send the file to a bogus number in a text, then pull it out of my sent messages and apply as a ringtone. But now, I can't even figure out how to view all the files on my card with this phone. The pix come up automatically when I go to GET IT NOW, Get Pix & Flix, but my midi files don't show up under Get Tunes & Tones. Not a really big deal because I didn't have too many on the card anyway, but I'm wondering why this phone won't read them. Is it because the...

if you set a sound that is saved on your card as a ringtone, and lets just say for demo purposes you make that sound your default ringtone. What happens when you take the card out of the phone?

With this razr? I can't even pull up what's on the card to apply as a ringtone. 🙄 With the v710, I had to first move it to the phone to apply as a ringtone, so even if I removed the card it was still there. I did text 2 of the ringtones from my e815 on the 2nd line to this phone and I can pull them up under manage music. If I go to the options, I can move them from the phone memory to the memory card, but if I move them, I don't know how I'll ever find them again.
