Any Users with Cingular?
Have any of you used this phone with Cingular's network? Im planning on buying it unlocked on ebay, and i wanted to make sure what features will work on Cingulars network. Im pretty much only wanting to make calls, text, go on AIM, and go on the Web. If any of you have used this phone on Cingulars Network or know somebody that has used the sidekick 3 on cingulars network....please help!...thanks!

Only voice calls and SMS will work. You have to have a Sidekick plan for the web and AIM to work. Since Cingular doesn't sell the SK, they won't have a SK plan.

I ALREADY confirmed it with you in a previous reply -- you CANNOT use a Sidekick with Cingular for anything other than phone calls and maybe SMS. Danger's data services can only be accessed via T-Mobile.

I work for T-Mobile and I can confirm that the SK3 does NOT work for any service but T-Mob. Like Cwosigns said, all you'll be able to do with it is use it as a phone and send SMS.

OK, when you state that it won't work for other services (except for phone and SMS), does it have to be unlocked in order to even use the SK3 on AT&T's (Cingular) network?
OR is it as simple as taking an SK3 off the shelf and throwing your AT&T SIM card in it? I realize that the phone will never be able to have AIM or internet.

I have cingular and i really want this phone. I'm sorry for my ignorance but what is SMS? All i would use it for is calling text meassaging the camera and maybe the games. would it work for this?
