Sharp Hiptop 3 / Sidekick 3

Im getting ready to purchase a Sidekick 3 off ebay without a contract since im stuck on a sidekick 2 contract for another 8 months, the price is only $300 so its not bad for brand new. My question is this, i called t-mobile yesterday to see if any warranty/insurance would be included, they said no not from t-mobile, i would have to purchase the phone from t-mobile to recieve a warranty from them (1 year) and 14 days to get the insurance for the phone. Now im ok with the insurance because i dont have it as of right now ill just yell at a supervisor on tmobile to send me a new phone if it breaks and usually works, but this guy selling the SK3 on ebay says on his page a 1 year warranty is included from sidekick, im assuming Sharp? anyone know i...

Hey, i got a sidekick a few days ago, and it was charging fine, but now i have to wiggle the tip around til the phone picks it up and the orange lite turns on. I tried new batteries and chargers and its niether. Now the battery went so low that the phone wont turn back on, and wen i get that orange lite to stay on, it doesnt charge? but the lite is still on? im lost, i need help asap!!

wondering if there is anyway to view Microsoft Excel and word documents on the Sidekick 3. Is there a program that will let these documents be viewed on this device? Thanks for any help.

When I set the phone to buzz, I want the phone to buzz when i get an IM, and when its on sound, i want it to play a sound. Why can I not make this work. For when I am at school or in work i need the vibrate. Any help?

I am currently a cingular customer but wants to use Sidekick 3 even if this means I can't use the web and other features. I was wondering if it is possible to sync my Outlook with Sidekick 3 by using the USB cable it comes with. Basically, how do I bypass t-mobile service to synchronize my Outloook calendar. Any ideas? ok im about to get this phone this wed. and i noticed some cons which was for the battery... if the battery doesn;t even last a day then wtf? i don;t want this phone.....how long does it last ,.. i read the phone features and it said up to 3 days.. and is that with the 4.5 hours of talk time??????or separate?

Does the keybaord inside the sidekick light up? i heard from people it doesn't,, if it isn't then thats really stupid...! and if it doesn't im goign with the pearl... or may be i should just go with the pearl...?hmmm...

r u aloud to load your own pictures from you computer to the side kick 3? and are you aloud to put them as your wall paper on your side kick??????????????????????

Can you put mp3s as your sk3 ringtones ? just wondering this does not in anyway affect my decision to buy the phone i'm getting it anyway i'm not a stickler about it

but i heard you can edit your mp3 on your comp. send it to your email on sk3 as a wav. file and then save it as a ringtone somehow

1. How many pictures does it hold alone?
2. How many songs does it hold alone?
3. How is the picture quality (can anyone send me through e-mail to show me the picture quality)?
4. How are the speakers and ringer sound?
5. What website do you use to download themes, ring-tones, etc?

My girlfriend just got the SK3.
She loves it, i was trying to setup her gmail account for her so she can stop using my laptop, but no matter what settings i put in the device.. the same message:
"Error Validating"

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I need to know how to get her email working, not nearly as easy as my 8125 for Cingular.

She loves it. I think its lacking still. But who cares....

maybe some of you have had this problem too, but when i try to connect my sk3 to my computer, my computer doesn't show that its connected, and my sk3 does...
does anybody know anything about this?? or has anyone else had this problem??

I've been thinking about getting this phone for a while i get to upgrade in a few days. I want to be able to go online if i need to check something, go on msn and i do text more than i use the actual phone,but should i pay $300+ for it? And do any of you know if i order it online and decide not to keep it can i return it without being charged?

😕 .. I dont know. I checked out some reviews and the screen still looks washed out and it looks just as big if not bigger. Yea the features are hot on it ... but with everything trying to be thinner and waiting so long jsut to get a 1.3mpx camera... And comparing this to the price of the Q its almost not worth it... I guess its your call. 🙄

How do the sites work, if I go to google.com, will it look exactly like the site on a computer ?
and do some site make an actual mobile site that is easier to browse from a phone but the same information ? . .. not just for sidekick 3 but how in general does this work
and can SK3 go on sites as ..yahoo.com, myspace, phonescoop ?
