Palm Treo 700p
Treo 700p vs Motorola Q - Decision
I seem to really like the features that both offer. I'm beyond crying over WiFi (buy the mini-sd wifi card). I'm really wondering if there is anything that the other really lacks that should make a consideration difference.
I know the obvious...
- OS palm vs MSFT
- Nice weight, sexy and size difference
I have used Palm devices for years however, I'm willing dump the Palm Tungsten T3 to Motorola's Q (MSFT) if I'll gain something great and I'm not really going to be lose anything vital. I'm tired of having 2 devices RAZR + Palm T3 when I could have it "all-in-one."
On my Palm devices, I really live by the "memo pad, contact list, calendar and task list." Palm seems to have tons of nice o...

The question about sending calls to voicemail is (for the most part) a carrier specific issue. I know w/ Sprint, if you are not in an ACTIVE data session (sending or receiving data), the phone call does come through.
The 700p is not a quad band phone (it is CDMA, therefor no such thing). It does both digital bands only, no analog.
As far as the remote access concern, "gotomypc" is a commonly used app, but I do not have first hand experience w/ it. Good luck w/ your decision. đ
(PS., Palm OS tend to be more stable (as I'm sure you've discovered w/ your Tungsten) and require l...

Go with the Treo 700p, I already ordered it...
now hopefully I wont need to use my 15 day return window
jcintrater, I actually did spend quite a bit of time researching further different boards and etc.. I decided that going with the Palm Treo 700p would be like an old trusty girlfriend however, this time around, I'm willing to try the Motorola Q. I did find that just about everything that I need the 700p for, is pretty much possible on the Q. Also, I believe like with MSFT operating systems, there will be plenty of fixes provided like they always do, for all their products. If there is too much frustration, I'll return it and go with the 700p within 15 days.
+ Palm stylus really makes a difference
+ Palm's touch screen is really great
+ Palm is faster when going through the different options versus the MS O/S
+ Nicer cases available with Palm
+ Looking for apps, I still feel that there is a shortage of great programs compared to the Palm
I checked out the Treo 650 however, to get a general fell for the 700p even though, I know there will be differences.
- No flash (what was Palm Thinking?)

I did get to actually spend quite some time with one in the Verizon store and am convinced that the Treo 700p over the Moto Q is the right choice. It's not as sexy but, oh well. I need something that works at the speed of me and is functional! My Palm 700p is on order. Now if they only put the Palm OS on the Motorola Q 𤤠I'd buy the Moto Q then.
I've been considering moving away from the all in one package and was considering the exact setup that you're moving away from.
I understand with Sprint the RAZR V3m has bluetooth connectivity to sync to Outlook calendar & contacts.
I'm wondering if it would also have connectivity with the PALM to use Sprint PowerVision and browse the internet on your Palm T3.
Please let me know if you or anyone has tried.
