myspace on the treo
I have been asked a few times by customers if there is a special app out there for running myspace on the phone.
I told them that it is a website and that you just need to log in. They give me that look like "DUH!" and proceed to tell me that i don't know what I'm doing.
So i figured I'd ask y'all if you know of a special app for myspace.
If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I don't do much with myspace and don't know much about it.

I don't think there is a special app. I access it over the web. myspace has there own phone (Helio) that you can get, but that's a whole different phone company geared towards myspace.

Thanks for the info. I know about the Helio and that it is made special for myspace. My I'll just tell my customers to stop being lazy and just go online.

i realize this is a little old but if you're still telling your customers to use the web browser to get to myspace from their treo, the reason they're giving you the "DUH" look is because myspace is loaded with graphics and videos, which means very large files, which means lots of data, causing two problems. one, myspace pages take long enough to load up at home/work with a cable/dsl/fiber/t-1 connection as it is, rediculously slow on a cell phone. two, the service providers charge a lot for surfing the ol' information superhighway. you may be paying thirty bucks or more for 10MB of data per month, which won't take long after a little myspace visit, and then you pay the usual arm and a leg for every byte or so after that. A perfect example is GoogleMaps
You _can_ use google maps via the browser, but Google also has a maps application (free download, download & install right from the phones own browser too, no pc or hotsync needed) and the app is a zillion times faster and smoother and designed for the small screen and other aspects of using a pda.
Or, if not an application, then simply a wap version of the the site, or at least various key pages. Again Google is a perfect example, so is ebay. they both have wap.google.com and wap.ebay.com. And google's even autodetects that your browser is a pda and switches you to the wap version automatically even if you just typed in or clicked on a link for the normal www.google.com. A wap version of myspace ...
