Palm Treo 700p
Someone Please Help !!!!
I just bought a Treo 700p and am having problems syncing it with my Mac Powerbook. I am running OS 10.3.9.
When I try to sync the phone I get a message:
Conduit Manager file is Busy
From the very first time I installed the software and tried to sync the phone I received this message.
I do not think it is the phone itself because this is the second 700 I got. The first one had to be returned due to it not being able to connect to the internet. Yet, I kept getting the same message with the first 700 I had as well.
I have contacted Palm and spent 2 hours on the phone trying to troubleshoot the issue, but they have no answers and are supposed to get back to me.

call verizon, ask to speak to WDTS. they helped me with tiger and the 700, it took an hour plus, but it now works.

A technician from Palm called me backed and said that this problem is common for mac users who have Virex as there anti-virus software. Needless to say, I had to uninstall Virex from my computer for the Treo to sync properly. I was also able to set up isync and sync Address book and ical, which I was thrilled about.
The version of Virex that I had was 7.5. The technician says that they have notified McAffee about the problem but have not have received a response regarding the conflict. The technician did say that there is a 7.6 version, but cannot confirm if the issue has been resolved. So far he said he has not had any calls from 7.6 users regarding the error.
