I didn't think I could order from CS yet, only online, but wanted to call first just to see since overnight shipping isn't an option on online orders, so I called them first thing Monday morning and they said they could indeed order it for me, so I had it overnighted and recieved it this morning about 10a.m.

How many phones do you have? I thought you had the LG 8100, then you said you got the LG8300, now you have the LG8500! Since this is a chocolate phone, when LG comes out with another new phone, are you going to put the phone in the blender and make cookies out of it đ

Well, I am a PhoneAholic, so anytime something new and exciting comes out I just have to get it! If I like it, I sell my other one on ebay and end up recouping the cost and sometimes even making a profit.

You can get a new phone every year at the discount price (not new every two price) if you have a plan above $50/ month. Or at least that is how I did it in the past. I can upgrade every year and my plan is $100 a month. đ

Me too. It's the Merit's program. I can upgrade once a year, but I still buy phones more often than that, just at full retail.

I pay full retail, usually. I then sell my "old" phone on ebay to recoupe the cost and sometimes even make a profit since my "old" phone is never old and still worth a lot.

Full retail for the Chocolate is $359.99. The average sale price for the 8300 on ebay right now is just under $200.00. I don't think the 8300 was as big of a hit as Verizon and a lot of users thought it would be and since it started off so cheap in the first place, there are a lot on ebay right now and it might make it a little tougher to sell, but it should sell.

dang. So even if I sale it for as much as $200, I still gotta pay another $160 plus tax...ouch! what do u think of your chocolate so far? I got a chance to use one at a store today, and will be getting it sometime soon for my wife, because her line is eligible. I just wish I had waited now. Only thing that bugs me is the lack of a speakerphone.

I'm really liking it. I like that it is different than any other phone I've had. It's a nice change. Lack of speakerphone is no biggie to me because I never used speakerphone when I had it. I use a BT headset 90% of the time. If your wife appreciates cell phones even half as much as I do, I know she would LOVE it.
