Your help with the 8100 was bar none the best.
so here are some q's
1. can i use ringtones like the 8100 could with smaller made files. how do i get them on the phone?
2. can i use my own pictures.
3. bitpim yet?
anything else you have discovered would be great. #1and#2 are big deals for me...mp3 is not so much.
...
Thank you!
1. Yes, you can put ringtones on by e-mailing them in .qcp format to: your10digitcellnumber@vzwpix.com.
2. Yes, you can put your own pictures on your card under MY_PIX, or e-mail them the same way you do ringtones.
3. Since this phone is so new, Bitpim does not support it yet, but probably will soon. I've read that some people have been successful in using it by choosing "other CDMA phone" then going through the filesystem, but I personally don't like to mess with it this way as you could totally screw up your phone. I prefer to wait until it is officially supported.

when you say 10digitcellphone@zwpix.com do you literally mean (xxx)ccc-ccc@zwpix.com, meaning my actual phone number?
...
Yes. For instance, if your cell phone number was (555)555-1234, you would use 5555551234@vzwpix.com.

cool i just went and figured it out. i went to https://www.vzwpix.com and sent it from that site...is that what you meant? what does it cost?

you might try funformobile.com as well. On the right side of the website is a section that says upload ringtone. Then you get a screen that asks for phone number/provider/ and a section to open a file. There system auto converts it to the right format for you when you send it. I have send about 15 through them, well about 45 if you count the ones isent to the razr and 815. Standard mms messaging rates apply. So .25 or it just takes away from your package if you have one.
