Please can you tell me the best way to format my Sd Card to use in the phone.Should I use a reader through a computer or use the phone to do it.

you need to format in the phone to get folders for my_music etc.
go to menu, settings and tools, 9. memory, 3. card memory, options (in lower right corner).
the card is good to go.

I didnt even have to go through all those steps. I just put the card in, went to the music player....said it was accessing the card (which there was nothing on it)...took it out, and it was good to go.
Then i used a card reader to dump music into the "my music" folder the phone created and that was all.

actually the first time you put the card in all you have to do is go into the music by hitting the music button twice and it will format. You an do the long route if that doesn't work.
