LG VX-8500 Chocolate
Whats this im hearing about the next batch of chocolates having speakerphone?
Recently Verizon reps have been telling people that a software update will enable the Speakerphone on the Chocolate. But this may just be hear-say 👀 Word is: in about 1 to 2 months the update will be available... Don't know though 🙄

I contacted Verizon Wireless yesterday. This was their response:
"The LG VX8500 Chocolate is not equipped with a Speakerphone. There are no known updates to have this feature installed" and then they told me to contact LG (I think it was the customer service number).

First off, customer service doesnt know anything, there have been a few times that i have actually told me somethings that they didnt know, the software update is coming but if u call customer service they wont have any information on it until its out.

yes our verizon has confirmed that software upgrade for the choclate will be available in about a month that enables the speakerphone on the chocolate.

No. When and if a software update is available, you will just need to take it to a Verizon store and have it flashed.

To clarify, the no is to the part of the question that states are the original ones out of luck. Yes, they can be updated, if and when it is available.
